The Sixth
Annual “Halloween Howl” Sponsored
by Hartz to Benefit PAL (People-Animals-Love)
Dogs and their companions
celebrated Halloween in style this year at the sixth annual
Halloween” Howl,” a masquerade party for dogs and
animal lovers alike presented by The Hartz Mountain Corporation.
The event was held on Friday, October 21st at the L’Enfant
Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC to benefit People-Animals-Love
(PAL) pet therapy and programs for at risk area youth. The evening
included a silent auction, cocktails, dinner, dancing and costume
contests with wonderful prizes -- for both species of party
goers.
This event supported a range of PAL programs. PAL is a volunteer
organization that helps bring the healthful benefits of animals
and their companionship to at-risk children, the mentally and
physically ill, and individuals isolated in institutions. Volunteers
serve in a variety of programs including pet therapy visits,
after-school and camp programs for inner city youth in the DC
metro area.
