Hartz Will Donate to Support Companion Animals
Sales from plush dog toys to benefit the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies
SECAUCUS, New Jersey - In celebration of Canada 's commitment to the protection and welfare of animals, The Hartz Mountain Corporation has created two limited edition plush dog toys for 2004. Hartz will donate $1.00 while supplies last to the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies (CFHS) for every plush dog toy sold.
The Hartz limited edition plush toys were designed exclusively for Canada . Dog owners will love the Canadian moose with his blue overalls and lace up boots. He pays tribute to his home with a red maple leaf across his chest. The second toy is a real life replica of a husky, known for their dual color eyes and love of cold weather. The Hartz ® plush dog toys are scheduled to be available in stores in June 2004.
Hartz President and CEO, Bob Devine said, "We are honored to be making a donation to an organization that exemplifies the human animal bond through real love and dedication to companion animals."
"As the national voice for humane societies and SPCAs across the country, we are excited to participate in this campaign to celebrate Canadian animals," says Bob Van Tongerloo, CEO of the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies. "We are thankful for the support that Hartz Canada is providing to us and to our member societies."
