I have just bought a new diet. How do I switch my pet to the new diet?

For best results when introducing your pet to a new food, begin with a mixture of old and new food. Gradually increase the amount of new food for 7-10 days. Provide fresh food and water daily in clean bowls.

I can't find my usual food. Can I give my bird a diet for another type of bird or a Hartz Universal Diet™?

Hartz diets have been formulated to meet the unique nutritional needs of each species. If you feed your bird a diet that is designed for another type of bird it may lead to some deficiencies in diet which may be detrimental to your pet’s health. You may also find that some ingredients may not be eaten. For Parakeets and Cockatiels we can recommend Hartz Universal Diet™ for medium birds, a nutritionally balanced formula for multiple medium birds. For Canaries and Finches we can recommend Hartz Universal Diet™ for small birds, a nutritionally balanced formula for multiple small birds.
