Directions for Use
Remove cap and push plunger just enough to fill nozzle. Turn the knurled wheel on the plunger to the weight marking that corresponds to the weight of the dog. Insert the syringe as far back in the dog’s mouth as possible and press the plunger until it stops. Alternatively, add the dose to the dog’s food. For animals 1 year or younger, administer every 2 or 3 months to ensure that infestations are controlled; for animals over 1 year of age, administer monthly. If an infestation has been confirmed and an initial treatment given, a repeat treatment should be given 10 to 20 days later to remove immature roundworms which may have entered the intestine from the lungs after the first dose. If your dog looks or acts sick, consult your veterinarian before treatment.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
30mg piperazine per pound of body weight. To assure proper dosage, weigh animal prior to treatment.
Precautionary Statements
Although piperazine is a drug with a wide margin of safety, occasionally an animal may show nausea or muscular tremors. Such side effects are usually associated with overdosage. Therefore, recommended dosages should be followed carefully. Animals with known kidney pathology should only be treated by a veterinarian.
