Portion of Proceeds from Sales of Hartz Products by Military Resale will Benefit Injured Veterans
SECAUCUS, NJ, June 3, 2009 – The Hartz Mountain Corporation, the leading manufacturer and marketer of pet care products in the United States, today announced it will dedicate a portion of all proceeds from the sale of Hartz products by the military base commerce stores in 2009, estimated to exceed $100,000, to help fund the critical work of the Wounded Warrior Project.
Hartz will raise the funds by donating a percentage of the purchase price of each Hartz pet care product sold by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), the Navy Exchange Service Command (NexCOM) and the Marine Corps Exchange Service (MCX); which provide quality household, personal merchandise and services to military personnel, retirees and their families.
